Solstice Shines The Aura of Truth

Summer Solstice is a few days away and it is that full Sun Time of the Year!

What blessings abound….Tuesday 19th June is Family Yoga at Portlock Park (10am) and Thursday is a Special Heart Shine Solstice Class (5:15pm). See Classes and Groups page for details.

Have you ever “felt” something without a physical touch? That is perception through your Aura. The practice of Kundalini Yoga may have clearing and broadening effects on your Aura and your awareness of it. Aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds all of the cells that make up the physical “self”. Breathing with awareness has been shown (through the use of special photography and through brain testing) to enlargen the Aura and shift the electromagnetic frequencies of brain wave patterning.

Sun rays bending around Mother Earth…

Summer Solstice happens on June 21st, as the northern hemisphere is the closest that it will travel towards the sun in this entire “Earth year”. Since our practice of yoga is most powerful as the sun’s rays bend around Earth in the wee hours of the morning, or the dusk hours of the evening, these are really good times to practice on Summer Solstice to gather some extra benefit from the sunshine.

Sun is front and center in many belief systems, world religions and stories of human evolution. Scientifically speaking, it has the “power” to energize people through the capture of its energy into our food, and thus, into our own bodies as “life force”. Spiritually – “Ra”, the sun, is our action-oriented mind-self. When in balance with “Ma”, the moon and our calmer, quieter, more reflective qualities, our “Ra” side brings clarity, precision, and intense abilities to carry out abstract thought, creative process, and beautiful finished products in our lives.

As you practice yoga – awareness this week, in whatever form you do, may you tap into that “Ra” sun clarity for changing old habits with ease, being authentic and true in each moment to your Highest Good, for building Auric strength to reach out of your comfort zone, to uplift and inspire your interactions with others on your Path.
